As you break the $200 tier, however, you start to see more of the premium pool stick lines such as Predator, or Joss. Most of these pool cues are manufactured in the North America, but even the ones that are not made here tend to be of a higher quality due to greater manufacturing standards and oversight. Just remember: if you go over the $500 range then you are most likely paying for elaboration of inlays, and not an increased play performance! Avoid this if you?re wanting to get the most bang for your buck.

One more tip for saving money: join a billiard league! This will enable you to play many skilled billiard partners for free, or very affordably. This can serve in lieu of personalized, individual coaching.
